Clobetasol 0.05% Cream FAQs

  • Clobetasol 0.05% cream is used to help relieve redness, itching, swelling or other discomfort caused by certain skin conditions, including psoriasis and eczema.1,2

  • Clobetasol is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It reduces swelling, redness and itching by activating natural substances in the skin.3

  • Twice daily, use a small amount of the cream to cover the affected area of skin with a thin, even film. Gently rub it in and then wash your hands.4

  • Using too much clobetasol 0.05% cream or using over a long period of time may increase your risk of unwanted side effects, skin irritation and adrenal gland problems. This risk is greater for children and patients who use large amounts for a long time.6

    • If you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using clobetasol ointment.9

  • Apply the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and resume your regular dosing schedule.10
